Wash that Mini… artistically
Car creative. What is it about Switzerland and brand birthdays (and minarets, for that matter, though we’re not about to go there right now)? Yesterday we brought you news of the Swiss celebration of 30 years of Ikea’s set of shelving universally known as Billy. Now we can tell you that BMW Switzerland tasked art director and photographer Nico Ammann with coming up with a book to mark 50 years of the Mini. So, Ammann recruited 10 artists to make art of the car, and they did just that under the rubrik Wash Me, turning the car into a creative object.
“To write Wash Me on a dusty car or to leave one’s trace with a finger on a steamed-up windscreen is enticing,” the brand says.
Enticing enough to stump up SFr34 for one of 2,000 copies of the book? Time to go to the WashMe site and take a look.
