Gimme data

March 11, 2013 in -e.online

Twenty nine percent of UK consumers are happy to provide their data to brands selling products they might consider buying, up from 20% some 18 months ago, according to the DMA/fast.MAP Data Tracking Report. And having a clear data privacy policy looks to be essential, with 43% of consumers saying it would encourage them to share data.

“Giving consumers the marketing that they want, when they want it and through the channels they prefer is increasing their trust in brands and encouraging a more open-minded data exchange,” says Mark Roy, chair of the DMA Data Council and chief executive The Data Agency.
