Nike has launched an Ekiden race. This is a Japanese long-distance relay where runners hand off their participation by passing on a Tasuki sash (and the symbolic energy expended).
“It’s an unprecedented race where teams from around the world will be competing to create the longest Ekiden relay chain,” the sports brand says.

Nike and Ogilvy Singapore have come up with Nike Shout, a socially connected LED digital perimeter for deployment during the Asean Football Federation Suzuki Cup 2010.
That means football fans from Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia can show their support for their national teams by either posting words of encouragement on Facebook, or by logging on to Twitter and getting behind their side there. These messages will then be shown on the digital boards running along the pitch during the tournament matches.
