Into orbit with YouTube Space Lab

Google is launching the YouTube Space Lab together with Lenovo, NASA, the European Space Agency and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. What is it? It’s a ‘new galactic channel on YouTube that will lift off from your laptop, taking you to interesting and awesome videos from around the world… and beyond.’


Art, Infiniti and beyond

Infiniti has unveiled its Digital Art Competition Gallery featuring 32 images created by artists during the luxury car brand’s Inspired Performance campaign. The artworks can be seen on both the MSN lifestyle portal and on Infiniti’s European customer website.

Making music for midem

The competition gives advertising, marketing and communications agencies, as well as record labels and artists’ managers, the opportunity to present their campaigns to an audience made up of record industry members, technology company execs, brands and members of the media.


Music cities from popchips

popchipsBy Steve Mullins. Snack brand popchips has teamed up with Spin and Reverbnation to support local bands with pop-up concerts in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Seattle.

Popchips has selected 250 bands from that quintet of cities from the thousands of Reverbnation members who applied to be a part of fan-driven competition designed to expose new music.


Brand Angry

Finnair has talken wing with Angry Birds. “We’ve got a fully customised Finnair Airbus A340 waiting for the Angry Birds and you,” says the airline. “The biggest Angry Birds fans are welcome onboard an Angry Birds style Finnair flight – with the first ever Angry Birds Asian Challenge played in the air.”


In that Barbie house

The American Institute of Architects and toy maker Mattel have a winner for the Barbie Dream House Contest. They are Harvard graduates Ting Li and Maja Paklar and they have come up with a four-story, eco-friendly Malibu dwelling… with pink sliding doors, naturally.
