Social media is a platform, not a campaign, according to the State Of The Brand 2010 report from MiresBall/KRC Research. And while brand execs overwhelmingly agree on the importance of online comms, opinion is split on the effects of social media.
Forty one percent of those surveyed for the report don’t believe that social media’s impact is serious enough to require a change in brand strategy, while roughly the same number – 40% – think that it presents new challenges for protecting a brand’s integrity.
