Seventeen goes app social for fashion
App style. US mag Seventeen has launched its Seventeen Fashion Finder app for the iPhone. The Finder features a variety of fashion and accessories that are teens’ fall must-haves. The application allows girls to search by product, trend or price point. The application then checks availability and reserves any of the products in stores nearby.
Seventeen worked with digital shopping outfit NearbyNow to build the iPhone app as a means of tapping into the social shopping trend, giving consumers instant gratification with options to review fashions, and share them with friends.
“Millions of teen girls turn to Seventeen for fashion and beauty advice,” says Ann Shoket, editor in chief of Seventeen. “The Seventeen Fashion Finder is like having one of our stylists in your purse and makes Seventeen’s tried and true advice available wherever and whenever our girls need it.”
