Rewarding the Facebook fan
Price driver. Intel has teamed with tech oufit Sprout to launch the Intel Fan Plan on Facebook. Consumers become fans of Intel-based products on the social networking page and are rewarded by the brand lowering the prices of the various devices on so-called Cyber Monday (30th November).
“With the economy affecting everyone’s budgets, we wanted to give consumers a break,” says Alex Carvallo, shopper marketing manager of Intel. “We turned to Sprout and Facebook to create a solution that empowers customers to drive down the price of the hottest ultra-thin laptops by sharing deals… and encouraging them to participate in the offers.”
