Pop-up shops ready for take-off
Brands land. Pop-up shops are going up in the world in Glasgow as planeshop aims to open its doors at the city’s airport this winter. The concept’s straightforward enough, with the outfit providing a permanent store to be taken over by different brands on a short-term basis.
planeshop’s pretty exclusive too. First of all, only those with tickets to fly who have passed security will get to visit. Second, the store is promising some only-to-be-had-at-planeshop items.
And in the spirit of giving fly-shoppers what they wish for, planeshop is providing them with the opportunity to say just which brands they want to take over the shop.
There’s also something called planemix, a music service featuring everything from electronic beats to rock and pop, reggae and hip hop, which can be taken onto the flight after downloading from the Net, or from the Glasgow planeshop.
