Pop-up clubbing with Puma
Puma has opened a pop-up Puma Social Club in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. Open until end-October, the place pays homage to ‘After Hours Athletes’ – ‘those who enjoy the smell of victory and the agony of defeat, all with a drink in hand, wearing their favorite pair of Puma Clydes’.
The 6,500 square-foot venue, located on the first floor of Sunset Towers on Sunset Boulevard, is a retail and nightlife spot aimed at bringing the concept of ‘vintage’ social sports such as darts, pool, table tennis and bowling to life.
The club has been kitted out with chalkboard walls, raw wood, corrugated steel, neon lights and plush lounge furniture. Anyone getting a hunger from all those games can chow on signature sausage from Pink’s Hot Dogs.
“When the sun goes down, The Puma Social Club LA will come alive, hosting a wide variety of eclectic programming featuring social sport events, music, lounging and all around good times,” says the brand. “Every night, enthusiasts can enjoy foosball and video games including the new DJ Hero 2, plus table tennis matches on the exclusive Puma Chalk Table as well as tennis tables by Killerspin.”
