We’re talking about a personalised web video campaign, launched by the digital greetings and online entertainment outfit for Paramount’s Insurge Pictures movie Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, for which users created over 400,000 clips and generated 2.8 million views in the first seven days following its release.
The Justin Bieber Starring You campaign enables fans to insert their own images to appear alongside Bieber’s in his music video One Time via JibJab.com or Facebook. Users can e-mail the finished product to their friends, plus share via Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites.
“Justin Bieber is no stranger to using social media and the web to connect with his fans, however, we are always looking for unique ways to reach out,” said Amy Powell, evp, interactive marketing strategies & film production at Paramount Pictures and Insurge Pictures. “JibJab has provided a fun and interactive way for fans to connect with Justin in a manner that was perfectly inline with our overall campaign for the movie.”
