More than mere muesli
Simple shorts. Cereals are ‘honesty, tasty and real’ and clearly they’re in need of a film fest. So welcome to the £5,000 Simple Pleasures Film Festival from those very makers of muesli.
“The brief is this: make a short film that sums up our belief: ‘simple, but then the best things in life usually are’,” the brand says. “We are looking for innovative storytelling, and all formats are considered including mobile phones.”
Short means under one minute in length and the single caveat is that it must close with Dorset Cereals ‘simple, but then the best things in life usually are’ frame. Simples… oops, wrong campaign.
Anyhow, then it’s the Great British Public’s turn to vote for the top two dozen. A single winner and two runners-up will be chosen by Dorset-based screenwriter Julian Fellowes, of Gosford Park fame.
