LG builds Facebook homes
Vistors to the brand’s page on the social network can personalise the digital home’s interior by choosing from a range of decorations – antique, modern or Zen are the there ways they can go – and LG appliances, as well as adding photos of their Facebook friends on Facebook.
Adding that touch of green, LG also provides an ‘Eco Index’ to show how much energy can be saved by selecting each item. On completion, the Eco Home is converted into an interactive movie for sharing.
“We tried to come up with a fun and interesting yet meaningful way to interact with consumers,” said Moon-bum Shin, CEO of LG. “The main purpose of the campaign is qto raise awareness of how LG’s core technologies can help citizens reduce their impact on the environment. This is the world’s first app that lets participants design a virtual home with such detailed appliance and energy savings information.”
