J20 turns to Stasi for musical support

Britvic’s J20 juice drink brand has got itself a music video that will probably do pretty well virally (though we have our reservations). It features a ‘Pop Stasi’ version of the song Tainted Love that’s an Iron Curtain’s length away from any other rendition we’ve seen/heard. “In Communist East Germany during the Cold War, the authorities decreed a Great Talent Contest!” says agency Rather Good. “Pop Stasi was born! Here is Tainted Love, as it was performed in that glorious setting.”
And here it is indeed. The campaign’s all about mixing things up.
brand-e.biz: Like the folk version, could have done without the dancing. Sometimes I feel I’ve got to run away…
