I Am Playr slots pro players into the action
Players of social football game I Am Playr can now test their skills against Premier League talent in the shape of Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson in a ‘Challenge Zone’ We R Interactive has launched in a new indoor training facility.
When play commences, the pro makes a video appearance, inviting the user to beat his score, with players then flipped into a 3D challenge, striking targets as they move across the training ground wall to win virtual trophies. Exploits can then be shared with friends to encourage them to beat their scores.
“It was fantastic to film with this incredible talent to create this new content which takes I Am Playr to the next level by giving users the unique chance to test their skills against some of the game’s biggest football heroes,” says Oli Madgett, co-founder of We R Interactive.
I Am Playr recently hit the 1 million monthly active users milestone, just six months after the game’s official launch.
We R Interactive recently reported that the game’s virtual economy has seen Red Bull sell more than 1.5 million cans and power 45 million training drills, more than 350,000 pairs of Nike boots have also been purchased.
