  • Sharebar

choir1Choral clips. Dell has joined forces with MTV to launch the Amplichoir campaign that aims to get thousands of pairs of vocal chords singing in tune. The song is question is The Chordettes’ Lollipop, and the brands are encouraging us all – well, German and British crooners – to join the ‘world’s biggest online choir’ by posting a video version of the track for judging.
The concept, developed by Mother London, is to create something that combines Dell’s technical know-how with MTV’s community of music lovers.
“In truth,” the organizers say, “we have no idea just how big [the choir] could become, but deep down, we really want it to be the biggest one there is.”
If being part of a huge isn’t incentive enough, there will be prizes for the two best individual performances in the shape of VIP tickets to the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin. As has become the norm with such contests, the online audience will choose its favourites, and a jury will come in to decide on the outright winners.
If you want choral video, then it’s time to visit Amplichoir’s very own YouTube channel. Yet more info on the dedicated Facebook page.
In case you’re wondering, Lollipop currently features in the Dell’s Treats campaign in which a group of blue-collar workers do the singalong thing. And yes, we have that for you too. Right here.
