Chaired by Coca-Cola
Who wants chairs made out of 111 recycled plastic Coca-Cola bottles? London’s Serpentine Gallery Pavilion, for one. The Jean Nouvel designed Red Sun Pavilion space has plumped for the 111 Navy Chairs for its cafe this summer. They’re made by The Coca-Cola Company and Emeco and are a mix of rPET plastic and other materials, including pigment and glass fiber. They’re available in six colours, one of which is… Coca-Cola Red.
“This project is part of Coca-Cola’s vision to recover and reuse all of our bottles and cans and another example of how our packaging can have real value through recycling to be used again and again,” says Liz Lowe, citizenship manager, Coca-Cola Great Britain.
