Brand wants teens to make movies
Creative youth. General Mills is looking for moviemakers for its Reese’s Puffs cereal brand in a partnership with Fresh Films, a breaking-film-talent programme for youth. With the Reese’s Puffs Extraordinary Cinema campaign, the brand is asking American high school students aged 13 to 18 to explain why they should get the chance to go to Hollywood and work on all-teen crews to create shorts films with celebs like Bobb’e J Thompson of 30 Rock and Cloudy with the Chance of Meatballs.
Reese’s Puffs recruitees will replace pros on set, working on tasks from story development to casting, shooting and editing.
The resulting pair of short films will premiere nationwide online at FreshFilms.com and ON Demand.
