At home, online, with Ikea
Hej you. Ikea Germany has launched an online community, Hej – Your Home On The Internet, that enables inhabitants to build their dream home – or at least one for their avatars – online with the flat-pack retailer’s goods. And for those having problems putting that e-house together, well there will be plenty of tips available from other Hej-ers.
And there’s a nice app on the Hej destination with Ikea providing a nifty piece of tech, Greenbox, that allows members to film themselves against a green screen. That means they get to appear onscreen in the very rooms they’ve put together. Einfach toll.
The service will be rolled out in 40 branches throughout Germany between February and July and aims to connect customers with their local stores and their neighbours.
